Yahoo Closes its Auction Sites

In June of 2007, Yahoo! made the decision to shut down its auctions site.

Many Yahoo! Auctions users had built substantial businesses and associated feedback profiles, but were left with no way to carry their reputation with them. Luckily, upon hearing of this unfortunate turn of events, we starting extracting the public user data so that it would always have a home here at Repatoo.
